The title of this piece is Deep Fried Chair. I titled it this simply because the chair looks very deep fried to me. Here in the prints I depicted the inside of a house and the outside. I wanted to keep that unity seeing that inside and out are opposites. I did so through my color choices but also through the the window area having the vase of flowers! I took inspiration form my own house actually for the composition of the rooms. I will say, trying to print of wall paper is a hard task. The water kept repelling off the paper each time I would try to do a wet print! Talk about difficult! Thankfully I am just as stubborn so I didn't give up! I think I might've been tired one morning while printing the outside because I used white ink on white paper, embarrassing I know. Most likely divine intervention seeing that it led me to see that I could burn lemon juice to get an off white color to let the white and blue accents show more on the paper. Through and through, thinking outside the box was definitely necessary for this project. Although I am new to printmaking, I am proud of my first project!
